La Roca Del Mar is the best Mexican Restaurant in Newport, Oregon! They are located at 352 SW 9th Street, Newport, Oregon 97365, just 9 minutes or 4.5 miles south of Pacific Surf Motorcoach Estate. They are open daily from 11:00 am (on Saturdays they open at 11:30 am) until 8:00 pm. Their phone number is 541-265-3005. There are a few street parking spaces available, but there is also a free parking lot across the street. The tables and chairs are painted in a colorful, Mexican style. Everything is sparkling clean, so you get a good feeling as you are seated. Service is friendly and your orders are taken and filled promptly.

Chips & Salsa – Cadillac Margarita
When the server brings you a basket of warm, fresh tortilla chips, you fall in love with the restaurant. When you discover how delicious the salsa is, you fall more deeply in love. The red salsa is smoky and mild and the green salsa is spicy and tasty. Then when you order a Cadillac Margarita on the rocks (yes, it’s $13-something) and it’s large enough for two to share, you really fall in love. And when you discover it’s the best Cadillac Margarita you’ve ever had, you realize you found your place!
Street Tacos – Al Pastor (Marinated Pork)
The street tacos at La Roca Del Mar are offered in many different types of meats, but the Al Pastor (Marinated Pork) is my favorite! La Roca Del Mar’s Al Pastor is the best I’ve ever had, the meat is incredibly soft, tasty and it’s not greasy. They top it with the perfect amount of pico de gallo. The sliced radishes and lime are the perfect accompaniments to this dish. I’ve had such an amazing dining experience at La Roca that this has become my regular order! Chips and salsa, Cadillac Margarita and street tacos al pastor.
